There are over 900 agents on Martha’s Vineyard and 93 real estate offices. This can, as you can imagine, create a lot of competition between agents and offices. There is however a very good first step to ensure that you are working with and an office and an agent who can best represent you in terms of their experience and education.
While all agents offer buyer representation, less than 20 on the island have taken the continuing education classes to qualify them to use the Accredited Buyer’s Representation (ABR) designation which illustrates our commitment to excellence in terms of Buyer representation.
Having this certification ensures our clients that we not only lend our individual island experience to the transaction but also the expertise to help our clients with the many phases of the transaction to include property selection, document preparation, negotiation, inspection support, financing advice and validation of island specific issues such as building code considerations, FEMA flood issues etc.
To keep you up to date with issues important to Buyers we will frequently update this page to include information we get from the NAR that is specifically geared to ABR designees.
